Bill on Changing and Fulfilling Law No. 02/L-31 for Religious Freedom in Kosovo has been approved at the meeting of 121 of the Government of Kosovo, on 25.01.23. To become almighty, this bill must also receive the Kosovo Parliament votes.

Now, the government has introduced a new article on finance control.

The purpose of this Law is to fulfill and change the Law No. 02 /L-31 for Religious Freedom in Kosovo, Changed and Complete With Article 13 of Law No. 04/L-15 for the change and fulfillment of the Laws dealing with the completion of the international oversight of Kosovo Independence (in the text above): Law.

There are seven religious communities in the Republic of Kosovo, which make up the country's historical, cultural and social heritage. These communities are: The Islamic Community of Kosovo, the Catholic Church, the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Jewish Community of Faith, the Kosovo Protestant Church, the Union of Tarikas in Kosovo and the Kosovo Bektasian Community.

According to the Law, the above religious communities are granted legal status, and the Office issues their registration certificate; The Republic of Kosovo respects all religious communities, was recognised as their representatives only persons authorised by religious communities in Kosovo and guarantees the protection of religious communities from any person or group claiming the name, cult objects, property, logo and their seal.

On January 23rd, 2023, the chairman of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Mufti Naim Eph. Ternava, has hosted the Kosovo Republic Prime Minister Albin Kurti at the meeting. Among other things, during this meeting it has been said to have been discussed in the Bill on Religious Freedoms, which Prime Minister Kurti thanked Mufti Ternava for his commitment and co-operation with the Bill.
