Government decides to pay specialists this year

Prime Minister Albin Kurti said 580 self-finance specialists will be paid in order to improve the health situation.
Health Minister Arben Vitita said that “the number of professional health frameworks in the country is very low compared to countries in the region”, citing the departure of doctors.
He said that Kosovo has “small number of medical per capita resident”.
Therefore, Vitita said that “worry about access to health services of the population”.
The ministry therefore considers paying specialists with self-finance as priority issue for the country”, the minister said.
