February 17th speech: Vjosa Osmani makes mention of former KLA leaders found in The Hague

At the Kosovo Parliament's solemn session in honour of the 15th anniversary of Independence, the country's President Vjosa Osmani stressed that it is honoured that today by the Parliament's speaker congratulates citizens for the country's citizenship.

Osmani has mentioned those who have fought and made their contribution to Kosovo today.

He has mentioned the historic president of Kosovo, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, the legendary commander, Adem Yasar. But not even KLA leaders found at The Hague.

I am honored that today, on the 15th birthday of our Kosovo, I can address you from the Parliament folk. Let me congratulate each citizen on the contribution to building our joint state. Remember the drinker of our citizenship, historic President Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, Remember our sons and daughters, who lined up at UCK sacrificed their lives. The historic commander, Adam Yasar. Remember the representatives of independent institutions that contributed for the next 15 years to the construction state,” - Vjosa Osmani has declared.

She has also thanked international friends who have contributed to the state building Kosovo.

Today we also remind and thank our friends, our allies, who have been with us forever. When we were oppressed, we fought for freedom. They are here even today, reliable and stable partners with whom we are jointly building our future,” -- has added Osman further.

Osmani says there are attempts to undermine the state, which requires all political parties to join in front of Serbia.

Despite differences in outlook, ideas and political platforms, the country will be united in the face of all those trying to undermine our state or hinder its progress. The battle for international empowerment, membership in organisations and the path towards Euro-Atlantic integration requires full co-operation with friendly states”, Osmani has said.

And in the Parliament's speech by PDK deputy Ganimette Musliu, shortly before Preidente Osmani's speech was introduced the Kosovo Liberation Army's emblem.
