At the Media Conference Stano has been asked whether Monday's reconciliation is de facto recognition, he has denied it.
“The purpose of the dialogue is not recognition. It is the normalisation of Kosovo-Serbia reports, and the normalisation content is determined by both sides. The EU is extenuating, we don't know what to do”, he stated.
According to him, the EU's mandate is to help achieve the legally binding final agreement for normalisation of reports.
This statement by EU spokesman exposes statements by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who said the European proposal implies de facto recognition.
While de facto recognition is not part of the European proposal, Kurti, following his return from Brussels, stressed that he has not given up recognition at the centre.
We have not given up on anything and will continue for Kosovo citizens. We are expecting difficult meetings and discussions in the coming months. I am open to any reporting in the Kosovo Assembly”, the government's first said.
