Erdogan: I hope we get through these difficult days.

Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan has shared his hopes that the country will overcome “these difficult days” in a Twitter message.

The message was distributed along with an image of the Turkish leader embracing a woman on the scene in the earthquake area, Erdogan said: “We are a nation that believes that with any difficulty there is a ease. I hope we have these difficult days with one heart and one hand.

Yesterday, Erdogan described the powerful earthquake that destroyed parts of southeastern Turkey as a “one of the greatest disasters our nation has faced in its history”.

Visiting the province of Adiyaman on Friday, Erdogan said search-saving efforts would continue until no one remains trapped under the rubble. /
