More than eight thousand people have been taken out alive from the ruins in Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, expressing his gratitude for all countries that offered support after double-dead earthquakes.
He also said that a large number of over 81 thousand people, who were injured by earthquakes, have been released from hospitals, state agency Anadolu reported.
I want to thank once again all the friendly countries and sisters who have collected assistance for our nation day and night, supporting our search-for-saving efforts with their teams and not forgetting us in their prayers”, Erdogan added.
