Earthquake of 2700 victims and thousands injured, as the world has responded to Turkey and Syria

CNN reports that the number of victims has gone to 2,700, while over 13 thousand have been injured in both countries. 1651 victims have been confirmed in Turkey, while 1050 in Syria. At least 11,119 people have been injured in Turkey, and 2,453 have been injured in Syria after the powerful earthquake.

A review of the international aid promised so far:

The United Kingdom is sending 76 rescue experts with equipment and dogs, as well as an emergency medical team, to Turkey. The UK also says it is in contact with the UN to provide support for the affected in Syria.

The United States is sending two search and rescue teams with 79 people to help Turkish officials, according to the White House.

) The EU has mobilised search and rescue teams to help Turkey, while the satellite system Copernicus has been activated to provide emergency map services. At least 13 member states have offered assistance. The EU said it is also ready to provide assistance to Syria through its humanitarian aid programmes.

Russia's emergency ministry rescue teams are preparing to fly to Syria, where the Russian army deployed there has already sent 10 units of 300 to help clean up the ruins and search for survivors. The Russian Army has set up points to distribute humanitarian aid. Russia has also offered assistance to Turkey, which has been accepted.

Israel is sending teams to Turkey. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah said he has also approved a request for humanitarian aid to Syria, received through a diplomatic official. Israel and Syria have no diplomatic relations, and both countries have waged several wars.

Germany is preparing shipments of emergency generators, tents and blankets.

Greece is sending Turkey a team of 21 rescuers, two rescue dogs and a special rescue vehicle, along with a structural engineer, five doctors and seismic planning experts on a military transport plane.

Japan is sending a group of about 75 rescue workers to Turkey.

Spain was preparing to send two search and rescue teams to Turkey with 85 personnel and a commission of volunteer firemen.

Italy's Civil Protection Agency has offered Turkey assistance. A fire crew was preparing to leave Piza.

France is sending rescue teams to Turkey.
