The country “has been in a trajectory away from democracy for a long time and is now gaining much of the features of a dictatorship,” said in the report. The narrow ally, Belarus marked a 1.99 note, ranking 153 out of 165, a seven-point shift from the year before.
Referring to Ukraine's large - scale invasion, the report stresses that the <x0 violation of Ukraine's sovereignty from Russia is the product of an imperial mind. The report also found that more than a third of the world's population lives under authoritarian regimes (36.9%), mostly in China and Russia.
