The Albanian MP in Serbia's Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, has indicated that a delegation from Presevo Valley is headed for Washington.
He published a photo early this morning with Ardita Sinan and Ragmi Mustafen and wrote “for Washington”.
And last night through a Facebook post, MP Kamberi has announced that for the first time, he will have the opportunity to address the American Senate and report on the situation in Presevo Valley and Albanians and their position.
His mailing last night:
In the U.S. Senate, the Brifing for the Valley is a historic opportunity
Dear citizens,
You're already notified that a delegation from Presevo Valley starting tomorrow will be staying in Washington.
The delegation, which I will be part of with Ardita Sinan of Ragmi Mustaf, Flora Ferat, Nagip Arifi of Ragmi Mustaf, will for the first time have the opportunity to address the American Senate and report the situation in the Presevo Valley and for Albanians and their position.
Our efforts to realise full rights and create equal opportunities for all except that they are common political battles are also the daily requirement and need of every Albanian citizen in the Presevo Valley.
And our endeavour is a duty upon us. Land and abroad. So we should not tire out, much less give up.
Dear citizens,
You are witnesses that Albanians of the Presevo Valley, for 22 years, and after the end of the UMPM war, have 3 agreements signed with governments in Belgrade with the mediation of the international factor.
Today, 22 later, we still talk about our daily needs and the obligations that the Belgrade governments have failed to fulfill.
Instead of solving the problems and realising our legitimate requirements, different local factors, for years, are trying to block any common coordination, any random initiative and every attempt to ensure better lives of our citizens.
Therefore, today more than ever, we need internal co-ordination and close co-operation with Pristina and Tirana. The harmonisation of our policies with our international friends and the stabilisation of the Valley Albanian issue.
That's why we're gonna be in Washington and we're not gonna finish our commitment.
The new phase in which the minority issue is entering the Balkans is a good opportunity for the symmetric treatment of their positions everywhere.
Europe and the European Union must remain the only orientation of the Western Balkans.
And there, in the EU, there will not go a single state, nor Serbia, until it begins to seriously advance the position of minorities and ensure equal rights.
Our equality and collective rights will be our subject in Washington and our request to Brussels and other European chiefs.
Wishing everything worked out well, I'd let you know that with our return from Washington, through a news conference, we'll let you know how our political engagement works.
In the end, I thank the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, which is enabling our visit, the third in a row, within a year in the United States and the Albanian-American Civic League for commitment to our rightful cause for two decades.
Good luck!
