“There is an ongoing potential of further collapse to occur, so we often see an increase in eightfold sequences in initial numbers”, the World Health Organization's senior emergency official for Europe told AFP Catherine Smallwood.
More than 10 teams from the European Union are heading towards Turkey to help this state with the search-for process. The US, Britain, Canada, Russia and China have also provided assistance.
Turkey will also come to the aid of a Kosovo Security Force team (FSK), which was headed there yesterday.
