The meeting is part of a push for multilateral peace talks, and China will repeat its call for nuclear weapons not to be used, according to reports.
Chinese top diplomat Wang Yi is currently in Moscow, marking his first visit to Russia by a Chinese official since the beginning of the invasion, writes Skynews.
Beijing has claimed impartiality during the conflict, but has not condemned the invasion and has continued to expand trade ties and conduct joint military exercises with Russia.
The Biden administration recently warned of concerns China is considering to boost its partnership with Russia by providing a deadly “support”.
State Secretary Antony Blinken said the US “is looking at this very closely”.
