The protector of Spain received oxygen treatment for a few minutes before being removed from the stretcher, although he was aware of leaving the field.
Chelsea said he was “recovering well”.
In a statement Tuesday, the blues added: “The club's medical team is closely monitoring Cesar's situation, adhering to important shock protocols to ensure his security.
On Sunday, the wing defender wrote on Twitter: “I and my family want to thank all those who have cared for me since yesterday's incident.
