Biden has said Putin's accounts have proved wrong and that Russia will lose the war.
“As the world prepares to mark a anniversary of Ukraine's brutal occupation by Russia, I am today in Kiev to meet with President Zelensky and to reconfirm our firm and hardworking commitment to the democracy, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, Biden said.
When Putin began his conquest, he thought Ukraine was weak and the West was divided. But he has made a serious mistake. Russia wanted to wipe Ukraine off the map. Putin will lose this war. Russia has so far lost half of the territories occupied in Ukraine. We will send additional weapons, including artillery ammunition, anti-tankic systems and surveillance radar, to protect the Ukrainian population against air attacks” Biden added during his visit to Kiev.
