Balance rises, more than 41,000 dead in earthquake in Turkey, Syria

Nine people were rescued in Turkey on Tuesday, including two brothers aged 17 and 21, who were removed from the ruins of an apartment block in Kahramanmaras. Three other women -- two in Hatay province and one in Kahramanmaras -- were also rescued Tuesday, Turkish media reported.

O BSH has described the earthquake as the greatest natural disaster in a century. The UN has also called on the UN to collect $397m in aid to help five million survivors of Syrians with housing, health care and food. /abcnews. al
