Austrian top diplomat welcomes Kurti, Vuciq agreement in Brussels

Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg has welcomed the recent agreement in Brussels between Kosovo and Serbia. Schallenberg has said he expects implementation when an agreement between the two countries has occurred.

“Stability in the Western Balkans and a push towards the EU path is key. I welcome today's steps towards normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Thanks to Josep Borrell and Miroslav Lajcak. A timely and comprehensive application is expected as modalities have mutually agreed to”, he wrote.

Although they have not signed the agreement, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Aleksandar Vuciu have agreed on the Franco-German plan, which was published after the first meeting.

The next meeting between them is expected to take place on March 18th in northern Macedonia.
