Associated Press cameraman Sylejman Kllokoqi, who is operating in earthquake-affected areas in Turkey, has indicated about the current situation there.
“24 hours is working non-stop to remove the ruins and always face bodies, very few of them alive. 18 hours a day inform world opinion. Help's on the way. It's a very serious situation, residents expect family members under ruins all night, hoping that any of them will come out alive”, Klokoqi said in Klan Kosova.
Klokoqi said this is a humanitarian tragedy and expressed the desire that one does not happen in Kosovo, as according to him, buildings are not safe.
It's a humanitarian tragedy that hasn't happened in years, sometimes I'm thinking from this place, Inshalah doesn't catch us in Kosovo, because as those constructions are, it's a wonder. This country started developing 20 years ago because they didn't have much development. This part of Turkey has started construction at 15 or 17 stories, is talking that 15 thousand prosecutors have been assigned for days the causes of all this destruction with this earthquake scale. I don't believe their quality is strong”, the cameraman said.
He said that the hotels are “-funded” by people who want to spend the night there.
The situation is difficult even with hotels. No hotels. Everybody's full of refugees”
