Amy: QKUK has no conditions or anesthesiologists, the same Law as for bricks

The situation at the University Clinical Centre (QKUK) has led many doctors to see the evacuation as a solution. There's also a great shortage of anesthesiologists in the CKUK. Lulzim Emini, chairman of the Association of Anesthesiologists and Intensists of Kosovo, in an interview for “IndexOnline” says that there are only 45 anesthesiologists in the CKUK, which is a very small number compared to the needs of KKUK.
“The situation with the number of anesthesiologists at QKUK even further is difficult, as it has been last month. We currently have 45 anesthesiologists at QKUK, and to meet the minimum standards at QKUK, it would have to be double that number”, he said.
While saying that the work of anesthesiologists who are few in number has become extremely difficult, as anesthesiologists must cover many operating halls and many units.
It's extremely difficult. I know that means nothing to those who make decisions. Because I don't think they have yet to understand the seriousness of the situation. That's why you complain and say it's very difficult, it's only for those of us who are among the anesthesiologists. Because this difficult saying is not even true of our fellow doctors. Because even they don't know the level of the difficulty of this job even though we can see each day with them”, he said.
While saying that only last year have 10 anesthesiologists left the QKU and that for two and a half years, 20 anesthesiologists have released their jobs and that this is a tremendous loss to the health system.
“For two years, two and a half years today we've contracted 45 for more than 20 anesthesiologists, the number has been reduced. Even then he was a kid. This is a tremendous loss for those who learn little in medicine. This is a tremendous loss to the health system. It is surprising to me that there has been no step, no action to date”, he said..
He even says that they felt ashamed and ashamed of their wages.
“If we look at our pay and commitment, I'm talking about anesthesiologists, sometimes we get tired and ashamed of our market, even in free society. . Never released a doctor more than in 2022. Never has it happened in the history of QKUK that more doctors get out of this institution”, he said.
Emini points out, among other things, that doctors are not even satisfied with the cofficiator appointed by the Government now, whose value is 105 euros. Even with Emin's new cofficiency, the doctor does not have an adequate position in society because he is much lower than he deserves.
“Doctors are much lower than they deserve today than they deserve. We're talking 23-24 years after the war, they haven't been able to make a solid decent salary for doctors. My personal opinion is very unhappy. You can't even call him. You got your pay really low and we've raised you twice, because you've got it low in decades. You can't get a man today who's got an extremely low, shameful low salary and they say we've already raised a 100 percent salary and yet you're unhappy... whoever's got a low salary and when we talk about a 100 percent raise it's a little low, depending on what base you're on. That is my personal opinion, that doctors will still be disappointed”, he said.
But not only low wages have affected their work. According to him, conditions for providing better services are also lacking at QKUK.
“Even the lack of drugs and life-saving material is also of cytostatics and handwashing shampoos and toilet paper, and the lack of computers, printers in some anesthesia units, which is the absence and most written reports and uniforms that were long - bought and long - bought and day - old, with how many times in the years can change the uniform of underwear. Which are staff panties every year. This would have to be automatic and set up, not to buy whether it's a garment or a top quality underwear, and then we go privately to buy it. 80 percent of my uniform during my career, which I work for, nearly 80 to 90 percent of my uniform, has been bought on my own. This is an indicator that the quality has never been at the right level”, he said.
But it says that tenders and the way they are given have made it extremely difficult at QKUK, as according to him the laws are worth the same as buying drugs for brick purchases, which is far from right.
“Everything must be adjusted and tenders should be made over time. But tenders have made it extremely difficult for health professionals and the population. Because here the laws are just like buying bricks and concrete, like buying me pills and syringes that are wrong. Tents for medicine, for emergency should be of another nature”, he said.
