The country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, along with Culture Minister Hajrula Ceku and Political Adviser Ardita Sinan, met the political representatives of the Bosniak and Albanian community living in Serbia.
Part of the delegation were Sulejman Ugljanin, from SDA Sandzak, the Albanian deputy in Serbia's Shaip Kamberi, and two other deputies -- Enis Imamovic and Selma Kuchevic -- where they announced Kurti's concerns and problems they are facing.
According to the announcement, with Albanian and Bosnian representatives discussed the constituent elements of the European proposal for normalisation of reports between Kosovo and Serbia, where the entire delegation demanded reciprocity of rights with Serbs in Kosovo.
The rights of non-US communities in our countries reflect democracy and our development as a society. Unlike Serbia since Freedom House is classified as a state with a hybrid regime, the Republic of Kosovo is a democratic state with rights and freedoms for all, Prime Minister Kurti stressed. He added that different communities indiscriminately should be addressed under universal principles and in full harmony with European Union standards”.
“The three deputies in Serbia's Parliament who accept independent Kosovo, Enis Imamovic, Selma Kucevic and Shaip Kamberi, along with Dr. Sulejman Ugljanin, suggested that they are disappointed with the status of Bosniaks and Albanians in general and specifically in the municipalities of Novi Pazar, Tutini and Sjenica in Sandzak, as well as the Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanoc in the Valley. They demanded reciprocity of rights with Serbs in the Republic of Kosovo”, said the government's announcement.
Furthermore, the announcement said that the parties at the meeting agreed for lasting peace and security in the Western Balkans, where there should be symmetry of rights rather than privileged access to a minority.
