In an interview with Online Economics, he said this decision has raised surprise among citizens about how to act.
He has said that citizens are not aware of paying tax bills on property, or waiting to change the property tax law.
Kosovo's “Bord of the Kosovo Commission Association, representing Kosovo's municipalities, has asked Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Hekuran Murati that the decision to re-evaluate property which has directly impacted the introduction of property tax bills is suspended. If such a decision is made by Minister Murati, then the receipts that were sent to citizens for the year 2023 filed with 2022 cannot be changed”, Ibrahim said.
AKK executive director has said the decision by Minister Murati to pardon 100 euros is illegal. According to Abraham, the tax on property is drastic, for citizens do not know how to do it.
The mayors of the municipalities are looking for Minister Murati to show you what needs to be done now. Should taxes be paid on property, or expected change of the property tax law, because with the opinion of Minister Murati that municipalities forgive 100 euros is illegal. We demand that the finance ministry come up with a clarification and recommend to citizens how it should be done. Based on the information that we've been estimated that property tax ratios are drastic because we're thinking that citizens don't know how to act. They are waiting for the law on property tax to be changed, or the issue that was raised by the minister, who was non-legal for 100 euros and we are awaiting further clarification”, Ibrahim said.
