A 70-year-old woman has been rescued from the ruins in the Turkish town of Kahramanmara, 121 hours after the devastating earthquake struck the country and Syria.
The aged woman, named Meneks Tabak, was saved just hours after a 16-year-old boy was taken out alive from the ruins of a destroyed building in the region.
The 7.8 magnitude quake is the deadliest hit experienced by the country in more than 80 years, causing at least 20,665 deaths in Turkey alone.
A UN liaison official in the country has warned that they are approaching the end of the search-saving window, with a “lower sustainability” to find more survivors under the rubble as temperatures continue to be below zero, CNN reports.
