Russia has focused hundreds of thousands of troops in the east, using brutal force tactics and human waves to advance towards Ukraine's defence.
Amid a recent increase in fighting, some military analysts believe the Russian offensive is already under way and predict it will increase as the first anniversary of the occupation approaches on February 24th.
