One thousand 200 patients waiting for intervention, due to lack of anesthesiologists

Rudiar said that the wine hall is functioning well but that it is paralyzing the lack of anesthesiologists, although there are surgeons to perform these medical services.

The “we've had about 1202 operations, about 8164 visits have been carried out, due to variable vena operations we've managed to perform are 316 cases. The list of veins is a little long. We have enough of the staff, but the main problem is that we're the only reference center, we have 24 beds, considering the pathology that we have, because we're the only center that works, and no other centre works the vascular. We've got a load of the report because we only have 24 beds and we've got a problem with hospital hospitalizing”, Rudari said.

Rudiar further said this waiting list was added at the time of the pandemic. While he says that he also helps a lack of anesthesiologists, with a case in this clinic is just one.

It is now known that we don't have enough room to lay down patients when they are operated, another key problem we have with a lack of anesthesiologists. We had really lowered the number of waiting lists, because four years ago we had problems with operating halls, and now we've inaugurated the third room just to keep the waiting list going. Then the pandemic began, which is one of the factors that stop us for shorting the waiting list, and then the number of anesthesiologists began, considering that some of them have released the QKUK and went private, two or three of them have died from Ovid 19, so we don't have enough number of them”.

Immune from the doctor's flight is not even this clinic. According to Rudar at the clinic, there is also a shortage of middle staff, as some of them are on the verge of retirement.

The three specialists have released our clinic, we have only one left, and one is from Paya General Hospital, but it doesn't count that it's part of us, because he comes back to doing the job. For now, middle personnel need because they have some instruments to do and we need some more. For equipment we're not bad, except we have old surgical instruments, they're 20 years old and we've applied, but we're hoping they'll bring us new”, he said.

The director of this clinic is demanding that these surgical treatments start as soon as possible in Kosovo general hospitals.
