Turkey's President, Recep Tayip Erdogan, said that 912 victims have been registered in his state alone. Meanwhile, Syria reported 783 deaths.
Richter's 7.8-degree earthquake struck Turkey's southeast and northern Syria on Monday.
The Emergency Management Agency reported that a new 7.6-magnitude earthquake was recorded on Monday, near the era of the deadly initial earthquake, causing more earth quakes.
The Turkish president said earlier that 5,400 people have been injured, while another 2.470 have been extracted from the ruins.
Close to 3,000 buildings have collapsed, he said.
