The Specialised Prosecutor's Office has issued a release for the arrest of former Kosovo Parliament MP, Haxhi Shala, also known as commander Topi.
The report reportedly has been arrested on the basis of a warrant for arrest and transfer issued by Kosovo's Specialised Chambers Procedures Judge.
“He has been transferred to the Pre- Hamilation Object of Kosovo Specialised Chambers in The Hague and will appear before Kosovo's Pre-emptive Procedure Judge without unnecessary delays. ”
The ZPS has said it speaks of arrest linked to crimes against justice administration.
The European Union for Rule of Law in Kosovo “gave operational and logistical support to SPS, in accordance with its mandate and Kosovo legislation. Kosovo Police also provided operational support to SPS.”
The ZPS says the “takes extremely seriously preventing justice and will continue to investigate and prosecute anyone and all those involved in any case, including those who fear or intervene in witnesses, or offer financial or any other form of criminal acts to”.
