The relevant regulatory agency said that function on the North American market did not have enough security to keep the driver “autonom” while running the vehicle.
Because of this, guidance could be treated as autonomous by careless executives, and this, in turn, causes accidents.
Updates to be distributed for vehicles in the US will mainly include stronger sound warnings to correct the defect.
However, the RDW agency, which is responsible for the licensing of Tesla for Europe, says the withdrawal of automobiles from the US will not affect the European market because their autopilot functions function in another way.
According to RDW, both technologies are classified as the driving assistance of Level 2, but there is a difference in what “is allowed to do.
