PDK Parliamentary Group chief Abelard Tahiri, in the post he made prior to the President's speech in the Assembly, has listed the reasons for boycotting this speech on the part of this party.
“Zone Osmani as president who has at the beginning left the unifying role she would have to have because her decisions, actions and inactions demonstrated deep political bias to power and submission to Albin Kurti. Unfortunately, in about three years of her term as president, there is no distinction for any single initiative, neither in relation to women nor in relation to other social groups”, Tahiri has indicated.
MP The PDK says Vjosa Osmani as president has also silenced the measures and sanctions the EU has imposed on Kosovo as a result of Prime Minister Kurti's structural approach in the field of international co-operation and the process of dialogue in particular.
He estimates that even this year she will be remembered only for her non-unified, polarizing and divisive language but also as devoted servant of Albin Kurti and her power.
He writes:
The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo will not take part in this year's session called for the annual address of President Osmani, because the same has unfortunately continued to be brought into full disarray with its constitutional role to represent the unity of the people.
Ms. Osmani, as president, has been silent even when it would have to raise his voice strongly in the face of the challenges our country has faced this year, both in the domestic and outside plan.
Lady Osmani as president who at the beginning has at times abandoned the unifying role she would have to have because with her decisions, actions and inactions she has demonstrated deep political bias to power and submission to Albin Kurti.
Unfortunately, in about three years of her term as president, she is not noted for any single initiative, neither in relation to women nor in relation to other social groups.
Also, being the highest representative of the state, Mrs. Osmani as president has completely failed in representation and internationalisation of the Kosovo issue. No new recognition and no membership in serious international organisations.
In the internal aspect, not only has he closed his eyes to scandals and corrupt relatives of this government but he has joined the government's campaign to attack independent justice institutions and, at worst, violating the constitution on the issue of not decreeing the chief state prosecutor. Practically instead of institutionally supporting the independence and integrity of justice institutions, it has hampered their work, thus preventing the fight against corruption and negative phenomena.
Ms. Osmani has continued to be silent in the face of the energy field, which for protagonists has Kosovo's ambassador to Croatia, whose appointment decision has its seal. It has blindly defended the same, even in the face of international investigations that have been conducted against it, while affecting representation of state interest, not only in Croatia, where the same is serving but also in Slovenia, where the same is being investigated.
On the other hand, Mrs. Osmani as president has not even had the slightest political and institutional courage to defend Kosovo in the process of dialogue with Serbia, which brought Kosovo the most harmful agreement possible to Brussels, its Ohrid Annex, and ultimately the draft of the Commissions' Association statute with Serbian Majorities as far as the terms of this agreement.
So, standing silent even in the face of the dialogue process that the country brought to Serbian political and territorial autonomy in Kosovo, and on the other hand being head of state and Kosovo's first representative in foreign policy, it has given the greatest testimony that only the representative of the people's unity cannot be.
Lady Osmani as president has also silented on measures and sanctions the EU has imposed on Kosovo as a result of Prime Minister Kurti's destructive approach in the area of international co-operation and the process of dialogue in particular.
That unfortunately did not raise its voice even in the face of legitimate demands for support of the Kosovo Police and other security institutions, much less, to engage in meeting their basic requirements.
In this way, acting as the government's spokeswoman and parliamentary majority can already say its role is ultimately harmful.
Even this year she will be remembered only for her non-unified, polarizing and divisive language but also as devoted servant of Albin Kurti and her power.
Therefore, it does not merit the respect of the PDK Parliamentary Group, as long as it has acted in full disagreement with its constitutional role and position as president.
