Vetevendosje Movement spokesman Arlind Manjuka, in regard to poor test results “PISA 2022” for Kosovo has stressed that changes in the field of education cannot occur within two or three years.
He has said the education area is one of those where improvements can have a long-term impact, and for that, it requires commitment of all social factors.
The results of PISA and not only tell of the quality state in education, which can neither for good nor for bad be changed within 2-3 years. If there is any field whose fruits, whatever they may be, we will harvest in longer periods than virtually any other field, it is no doubt the field of education. It's an area where the commitment of all social factors is required to move forward”, he wrote on Facebook.
According to him, changes in education have begun and “the effort is serious, not cosmetic”.
Manjuka has mentioned that between 2003 and 2020, only 4 nests have been built, while from March 2021 to 2.5 years, four new nests have been completed, 26 are under construction, and 6 objects have been adopted as nests.
The results of the “test are published on Tuesday, December 5th. PISA 2022”, where Kosovo is ranked 76th for reading by 342 points in total, 77th for science with 357 points and 74th with 355 points for mathematics from 80 countries in the world as participants.
On the other hand, for many of our young people who have been educated by this existing system, the vital solution lies in gaining professional work practice. Even so, a transformational intervention is being made, with the policy of dual” education, Manjuka has stated.
