Shala's arrest, lawyer: Suspected of obstruction of justice within 72 hours must appear before court

The Special Court yesterday has arrested former KLA commander Haxhi Shala, while today the same has been transferred to The Hague.

Regarding the reason for Shala's arrest, his lawyer, Jevdet Smakqi, has spoken, who said allegations have been about obstructing justice.

“Doubts have been for obstructing justice. But he cannot confirm that yesterday's ban or transfer to The Hague has to do with this criminal act. All the booking has been illegal and arbitrary”, Smakqi said in a pronouncement for Clankosova.tv.

Furthermore, Smakqi indicated that Shala within 72 hours must appear before the tribunal, where a decision must be made on what security measure will be imposed on him.
