Numerous citizens were left dissatisfied with electricity bills this month, where some of them chose to file official complaints. Prime Minister Albin Kurti said there is no costing electricity, but if there are inflated bills they should be directed to KESCO and ZRE. In the Energy Regulatory Office, there are up to 12 official complaints so far.
Not a few citizens who claim that in December they received inflated electricity bills, angry about the change, therefore turned to KEDS for formal complaint. There were also unhappy with the December bills, but agreed to pay.
Following numerous discussions on the issue, Prime Minister Albin Kurti reacted, who denied to have expensive electricity.
If there are inflated bills, KESCO and ZRE are addresses that should address seriously and rapidly all complaints, but there is no expensive electricity. When there's higher consumption, of course, there's a higher bill. Power supply does not have”, he said.
KESCO spokeswoman Margarita Rashit explains the reasons for changing the most expensive bills for December.
And the citizens are basically paying what they've spent, from around 500 thousand consumers who by the time we're talking to their journals, 14% of them have received bills over 100 euros, in the meantime 86% of them have received bills below 100 euros. So we're talking about a very small number of consumers who've received bills over 100 euros because they've spent that much, but on the other hand, those who have exceeded the first block over 800kWh, then obviously the high and low rate is higher than the first block...”, she told Rtv21.
Meanwhile, in the Energy Regulatory Office, about 12 official complaints have been filed over December bills so far.
With regard to complaints about recent bills, we inform you that 12 consumer complaints have been accepted so far. Z RRE, there's a process for consumer complaints that consumers use all the time to resolve issues related to knowledge reading, billing, and other issues. Any consumer complaint will be resolved under the procedure for resolving complaints in the energy sector”.
The deadline for citizens' complaints to the December 2023 bills in KEDne has not closed.
