Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has told reporters in Brussels that “Serbia is planning new attacks on Kosovo”.
While in the year's speech, Secretary General NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has said preserving a peaceful and secure environment in Kosovo is the key to the stability of the wider Western Balkan region.
The possibility of destabilisation in the Balkans, does not exclude former AKI inspector Burim Ramadani.
He has said the odds are great for Serbia to take action against neighbours.
Serbia's “Balkan destabilisation potential is huge because of the goals it claims against neighbouring countries”, he told Front Online.
In addition to Kosovo and Montenegro, he says Serbia can promote “anexation” in Bosnia.
“Even against Kosovo, but also against Bosnia and Montenegro. It cannot be ruled out for Serbia to promote dangerous security situation in Bosnia, in the logic of annexation or similar”, he said.
German NATO General Ralph Hammerstein has warned that more soldiers will be needed in the future in Kosovo to preserve peace and stability, as according to him, the situation in the Western Balkans continues to be fragile.
Former AKI Inspector Burim Ramadani has commented.
He for Front Online has said that NATO's presence in Kosovo prevents Serbian aggression.
According to him, however, this is also the reason Serbia is funding criminal groups.
In the meantime, in the report to Kosovo, it is clear that the increased presence of NATO soldiers cannot afford Serbia's classic military aggression. Therefore, Serbia and the security facilities there are using and sponsoring paramilitary armed groups”, he said of Front Online.
On 24 September, an armed group of Serbs attacked the Kosovo Police in Banjska, north of Kosovo, and killed Sergeant Africa Bulnjak. Later, three Serb attackers were killed in the shootout.
Milan Radociq, former deputy chairman of the Serbian List, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
