Slovak emissary Miroslav Lajcak has announced that commercial contracts have been signed today between KEDS and E Lekstrom for the electricity issue. Lajcak has said this is an important step in implementing the Energy Guide, which has been facilitated by the EU.
The Slovak emissary also considers it an important step towards the road to normalising Kosovo-Serbia reports. He has congratulated all those who have enabled the signing of this agreement.
I welcome today's signing of the commercial contract between KEDS and Elektrosever. This is an important step in implementing the EU-enlightened Energy Guide and on the road to normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Congratulations to all who made it possible!” wrote Lajcak

According to the June 2022 guide, Elektrosever would sign the necessary technical agreements with COST and KED within ten days of issuing the license, “to operate on the energy market in Kosovo”.
These agreements would enable it “to provide distribution services (fatimation, collection, maintenance and physical ties of new consumers) in the four Serb majority northern municipalities”.
