President's office: Haradinaj didn't want to wait, presidency door remains open

But, from the presidency, they say he did not want to wait until the protocol informed President Osmani of his arrival.

“The meeting was meant to be maintained, but due to protocol reasons it has not been realised. Mr. Haradinaj has not wanted to wait until the protocol has notified the president of his achievements”, Bekim Kupina, the president's Media adviser, told Gazeta Express.

He added that Osman's invitation to Haradinaj remains open.

In spite of that, President Osmani has left open the possibility of meeting the following days, whenever the AAK head appreciates that national importance issues should be discussed and addressed. The President's door remains open”.

AAK spokesman, the Xhemali object, has said Alliance Chairman Ramush Haradinaj has responded positively to President Vjosa Osmani's invitation to meet about association, but that Osmani has been delayed and that Haradinaj sore has waited.

We had a good will to talk to President Osmani about matters of importance to the country, especially for the draft association status. President Ramush Haradinaj as well as Secretary General Muharrem Nitaj were in the presidency on schedule set by President Osmani, but unfortunately the president did not respect her own timetable and therefore the meeting has not been realised”, Xhemaili said.

Osmani has invited three leaders of the parliamentary opposition parties to discuss the draft Association proposed by mediators.

So far she has only met with LDK chairman Lumir Abdjiku.
