Petkov: Kurti tried to throw the ball to Belgrade for failure of dialogue

The chief of the Office for Kosovo in the Serbian Government, Petar Petkov, said on December 27th that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti “failed to launch the ball in Belgrade's field for the failure of dialogue”. Petkov's statement comes after Kurti asked the European Union why some [...] has been discussed in the Brussels dialogue.
Petkoviki's statement comes after Kurti asked the European Union why the Brussels dialogue has been discussed for several years for the formation of the Serb majority municipalities “if the draft status is the internal issue of Kosovo”.
Until he answered journalists' questions at a news conference on December 27th in Pristina, Kurti referred to dialogue mediator statements Miroslav Lajcak, under which the draft-state issue is “just the internal issue of Kosovo”.
For the formation of the Association of Serb majority municipalities, Kosovo and Serbia have agreed under the dialogue mediated by the EU, and the association would have to give greater decision-making to Serbs in Kosovo.
A draft state for Association was introduced to Kosovo and Serbia in October by EU representatives, the United States, France, Germany and Italy.
“Now except for [Serbia's] prime minister's letter, Anna] Brnabyq has another new stance that should be addressed, that the draft status card is the internal issue of Kosovo, then why have we mentioned it at the negotiating table in Brussels, so if the draft status was Kosovo's internal issue? For the past two years or ten years, why we built this in Brussels, a less topic, we are walking ahead of”, Kurti said.
Petkov through a statement said Kurti “is the one who violates all possible agreements reached in Brussels and destroys every attempt to normalise reports with Belgrade”.
He stressed that the agreements reached “clearly state” who wrote the Association statute, what it should look like, but Kurti “does not want” to form it.
According to the announcement, Serbia's red lines have not changed: Kosovo's non-recognition and its non-membership in international organisations.
Serbian Prime Minister Anna Brnabyq, through a letter sent to Brussels, which he saw Radio Free Europe, voiced reservations for the Agreement towards normalising reports that the parties arrived in Brussels at the end of February and later in March, in Ohrid agreed on its implementation Anex.
The agreement on the path to normalisation of reports and the implementation Annex, as referred to in this statement, is considered acceptable only in the context in which it does not include de facto or de jure recognition of Kosovo”, said in the document through which Serbia expressed its position. / REL
