PDK: PISA is the true mirror of Kurti Government, Minister Nagavci to resign

After publishing the test results P The ISA, where Kosovo emerged with poor results, the Democratic Party of Kosovo through a media conference, said it was officially confirmed yesterday that government illiteracy failed to reform the education system in Kosovo. PDK MP Eliza Hoxha said that with Kurti Government in the last three years, the crisis in education has only deepened further.
“We cannot expect quality improvement in Education, when the Kurti Government has questioned the credibility of almost every teacher in Kosovo by its actions. Rather, it offers support for the development, skills, and new skills of the day, as promised, and for which our children so much need. What we're witnessing today is that students are tasked with books and quantitative information, but not with quality development and preparation. And this, attributed to this government which has taken power by calling into reform, but with the logic of how these three years have worked, has failed not only them, but Kosovo has failed. PISA today is the true mirror of the governance of Albin Kurti”, she said.
Hoxha stressed that the Ministry of Education has not only made no reforms in the education system, but also hampered them.
We're entering the last year of this government, and the 160 promised nests aren't even nearby. Ten of them aren't even built. There was no reform at the Initive Education. Furthermore, instead of reforming, he chose to fight from one side the teachers, and this year he didn't get a chance at constitutional and legal obligation to provide free books for Kosovo students. Also, I believe you remember the war that Minister Nagavci had made to Kamenica Mayor Central Kastrati in his primary education reform, overstepping its competencies and violating the Constitution of Kosovo. And as for digitizing innovation, it's never even been discussed by this government, nor does it have any” movements, she said.
While PDK chairmanship member Muzafer Shala said after the disturbing findings issued by P ISA, the education minister, has had to resign from today.
Kosovo's “Government urgently must prioritize addressing problems it has recorded PISA”, he added.
The PDK has proposed to the Government of Kosovo nine recommendations, which they must address urgently.
“Schools should focus on strengthening their math, reading and science curriculums, including more practical and applied learning opportunities. Support of low-ranking students: To have targeted interventions and support for low-priced students who help upgrade their performance levels. Easing the performance gap: Continued efforts to support those with poor achievements, also offering challenges to those with high achievements. MANT should develop strategies to support students with unfavourable backgrounds, ensuring that they have access to the means of concreteisation and support they need to succeed”, are some of the PDK's recommendations for education, which Shala proposed.
