Loyal Tahiri: According to this government, the judiciary is nothing more than a political branch

The chief of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo's (AAK) Parliamentary Group, Besnik Tahiri, has reacted following the decision of the Court of Appeals, which has confirmed the Foundation's decision to annul the Government's decision to cut the salaries of prosecutors and judges.

Tahiri has said that the “decrease and fraud of this government with wages in the public sector is continuing to decontinate”.

According to him, the judiciary for this government is nothing more than a political branch.

“The Court of Appeals confirms once again with the first degree ruling, under which the Government acted against the law with the reduction of the salaries of prosecutors and judges. Since this government is against the rule of law and against the division of powers, we should not be surprised if it does not comply with the verdicts of the courts. According to this Government, the judiciary is nothing more than a political branch of it”, Tahiri wrote on Facebook.

Otherwise, the Court of Appeals on Thursday has confirmed the decision of the Constitutional Court's Administrative Department in Pristina, with which the prosecution of the Association of Prosecutors of Kosovo has been approved in all, while it has been annulled as illegal to the decision of the indictee -- the Government of the Republic of Kosovo -- to reduce the salaries of prosecutors and judges, November 23rd 2022, thus ruling 12 February 2020.
