The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has said that the open declaration by Serbia for disrespect of the Ohrid Agreement and annex, to non-recognition of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, It presents an open threat.
The prime minister reiterated that the agreement reached this year in Brussels and Anex in Ohrid to be signed, accepted, respected and implemented by Serbia as a whole.
Kurti made that statement at the meeting Norway's representative for the Western Balkans, Haakon Blancenborg.
The prime minister, according to the Government communiqué, stressed that after the terrorist and paramilitary attacks, inspired, prepared and sponsored by Serbia, it is important to increase security on the border with Serbia.
The “U also talked about the security situation and dialogue with Serbia on full normalisation of relations, with what circumstances it stressed that following the terrorist and pre-militar attack, inspired, prepared and sponsored by Serbia, it is important to increase security on the border with Serbia. Meanwhile, as far as dialogue is concerned, it followed by giving emphasis to the importance, so that the agreement reached this year in Brussels and Anex in Ohrid is signed, accepted, respected, and implemented by Serbia as a whole, especially after the recent declaration by Serbia for their disrespect until the non-recognition of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, which poses an open threat to us”, is said in the Government Community.
A document drafted by Serbia, through which it has indicated it does not intend to implement part of the Agreement on the road to normalisation of reports with Kosovo, and its application annex, has prompted the EU's reaction as well.
The EU has indicated that the agreement as a whole remains legally binding, and that the parties agreed to it in Ohrid.
That is what EU spokesman for foreign policy and security Peter Stano said on Friday.
The European Union reiterates that the agreement is legally binding, as a whole, for both sides: Its implementation will be an integral part of the respective European route”, Stano has said.
According to him, the Agreement and annex for implementation “have legally become binding through the written communiqué of the EU high representative [Josep Borrell], on March 18, 2023”.
This has been the EU's constant stance, which has been publicly communicated in some cases”, Stano has said. /Reporter.net
