Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti took part in hosting the 106th anniversary of Finland's Independence Festival.
In his address, Kurti stressed that Finland is a model country for Kosovo, because it illustrates many of our key values and aspirations. He recalled Finland's partnership and role over the years and direct assistance to our country, including support for visa liberalisation.
The Finnish Agency of International Development has been important in supporting vital projects in human rights education, gender equality, health care and more”, Kurti added.
The best friends are not only happy guides, but learned in learning”, the prime minister singled out, saying Kosovo is ambitious and committed to reflecting these values of social progress, security, innovation and joining Euro-Atlantic and European institutions.
In conclusion, Kurti said that as our ties continue to grow, we look forward to the many possibilities of co-operation ahead.
