Prime Minister Kurti's office has announced the meeting between him, the American ambassador and the US State Department official.
Today's meetings -- Republic of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti -- began with US Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier and Central and South European Affairs Director at the US State Department, Collen Hyland, who welcomed them to Kosovo.
Together they discussed strong bilateral relations between our countries, co-operation in many areas, and the topic and issues that await us by year's end and next year. One of them was the issue of the process of converting plates, from which to date over 42,000 Kosovo Serb citizens have benefited from government financial reliefs for registering cars with RKS license plates.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Ambassador Havenier and the United States of America for their close co-operation and continued support throughout the year. This year, which, along with development and progress, was particularly challenging year in terms of security due to Serbia's aggressive behaviour towards Kosovo and its criminal structures, which coincided with tensions, attacks on KFOR members, local institutions and journalists in four municipalities in the north, the kidnapping of three Kosovo police officers within our territory, and the September 24th terrorist and paramilitary attack on Zvecan Banjsca where the police sergeant, now Kosovo Hero, Akrem Bulnjak, was killed.
