Krasniqi: The current government has brought the recession to Kosovo, PDK to restore effective governance model

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has stayed in the Gjakova municipality, where he met entrepreneurs, producers and leaders of innovative centres in this municipality.

Krasniqi, accompanied by PDK Branch Chairman in Gjakova, MP Hajdar Beqa and the head of the Municipal Assembly, the Red Arbesa, on visits made to the “BoneVet” and <2> Jakova Inovation Center”, and company “Koba”, they have discussed the challenges facing them and all citizens of Gjakova, as a consequence of the discrimination government is doing to Kurti, not sharing a single cent for new capital investments for this municipality.

“Unfortunately and Gjakova is among the municipalities punished by the Kurti Government, because even for Gjakova it has not been earmarked for new capital investments for 2024. It is a pity that there is no support for citizens of the Gjakova municipality, just as there was no citizens of other municipalities. But it is also a pity that there is no support for either the Gjakova Commission entrepreneurs, who are really with numerous challenges, are managing to create jobs, keep people in Gjakova and also influence local economic development”, Krasniqi said.

In spite of that, the head of The PDK was divided with satisfaction from the achievements of entrepreneurs and inventors, and pledged that the PDK would restore the effective governance model, which keeps its word, works and facilitates the lives of citizens.

I'm impressed by the work done in all of these companies that I visited today and really, it's up to everyone, regardless of position, to be close to entrepreneurs, to be close to the inventors, to be close to the citizens, to facilitate their lives, because the existing governing model is the model, which has only brought the decline. While we believe that we will restore the effective model of governance, as a government that keeps its word, that does work and facilitates the lives of citizens, as we are doing in all municipalities that are led by the leaders of the Democratic Party of Kosovo”, Krasniqi stressed.

Meanwhile, the head of the PDK branch in Gjakova, Hajdar Beqa, said entrepreneurs are facing many challenges, so it is important to create a strategy along with experts and entrepreneurs, that the PDK has to include these objectives in future economic development alternatives.

Unfortunately, our municipality also suffered from the government budget for 2024. We have been discriminated against and we have zero capital investments for Gjakova. We're currently at “company. Koba” is a successful entrepreneur, a good example, Zenun Bajrami, who has had great activity in the diaspora and has now come and invested in Kosovo. It has a good market both abroad and within the Republic of Kosovo, but unfortunately there has been no institutional support. Along with Chairman Memli Krasniqi, we have come to see what we can do in the future to support him with a legal infrastructure through central level”, Beqa said.

During his stay in Gjakova, chairman of Memli Krasniqi's PDK has also visited the non-governmental organisation “Medika” and the wineery “Risons”.
