The popular German-language magazine “Cicro” has dedicated a long-standing article on Kosovo-Serbia relations, Russia's activities in terms of destabilising the Western Balkans and efforts of the international organised community to prevent the outbreak and renewal of armed conflicts in this region fraught by tensions.
In a joint article by two experts on international security issues and politics -- David Shedd and Ivana Stradner-Serbia said that the Kosovo-Serbia conflict could escalate due to the destabilising activities of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, while Western powers are focused on Ukraine and Israel.
The authors of the article, titled “A bomb in the middle of Europe”, suggest there are many indicators that recent incidents in the northern part of Kosovo populated by the Serb majority go beyond known tensions in recent years, including Russia's disinformative campaign to fuel Kosovo Serbs' distrust and spread war messages.
