The 33-year-old coach of several Kosovo basketball teams, Ilmen Bajra, has died on Wednesday.
News of his death confirmed one of the clubs he worked on, KB Prizreni.
“Klubi basketball Proton Cable Prizren expresses the most sincere condolences to the Bajra family and the entire basketball community. The early flight to eternity is a great loss for us and basketball. Coach Bajra successfully led the Union team, was part of the representative once and for half a season was on the coach staff and on our team. Deeply grieving, we'll remember Ilmen as an example of work, the positiveness of a friend who will always be in our hearts”, he wrote KB Prizren on Facebook.
Bajra had worked as a deputy to UN Prizren. As a coach, he led the Union and Rahovez. As a coach, he achieved his greatest success in 2018 when he won his champion title with the women's team.
Bajra was currently working in Germany, where her two-month team led Bad Homburg.
