Killed his wife, life sentence for Kosovar in Germany

A 37-year-old was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Land Court in Aacken on Monday for his wife's murder, broadcasts albinfo.ch. The 28-year-old woman lost her life in the parking lot of a construction store after being stabbed 20 times, in front of several witnesses.

The woman had left her husband of origin from Kosovo, and had moved to a shelter for women with her three children. The defendant has admitted crime in a brief pronouncement at the beginning of the trial, but has also said he no longer remembers the details.

The two ex-husbands had agreed to meet on May 20th in the parking lot in front of the police station in Aachen to hand over their daughter, writes Spiegel.de. According to the court, the defendant then slowly drove past the dying woman and filmed her on his cell phone. The cell phone and the murder weapon were never found. A few hours later he gave up.
