A 37-year-old was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Land Court in Aacken on Monday for his wife's murder, broadcasts albinfo.ch. The 28-year-old woman lost her life in the parking lot of a construction store after being stabbed 20 times, in front of several witnesses.
The woman had left her husband of origin from Kosovo, and had moved to a shelter for women with her three children. The defendant has admitted crime in a brief pronouncement at the beginning of the trial, but has also said he no longer remembers the details.
The two ex-husbands had agreed to meet on May 20th in the parking lot in front of the police station in Aachen to hand over their daughter, writes Spiegel.de. But the man didn't bring the baby with him and he attacked the 28-year-old butcher with a knife. Six of the stabs were fatal, said by the court.
According to the court, the defendant then slowly drove past the dying woman and filmed her on his cell phone. The cell phone and the murder weapon were never found. A few hours later he gave up.
The 28-year-old girl who was receiving professional qualifications in a doctor wanted to live a free life, explains the chairman of the court, conveys albinfo.ch. But the defendant, who had no criminal precedents, was jealous and exercised an unbearable, controlling “behaviour against the woman with a German and Kosovo passport.
He was desperate, “associated with the unbounded anger she had dared to avoid his possession. Thus, he had made the decision to kill 28-year-old if he failed to change his mind”, the judge said.
