The Italian government is expected to give the green light this afternoon of the agreement signed on November 6th in Rome between Prime Ministers Rama and Mellon for immigrants. In a preliminary draft adopted the day before, new details are revealed from the way the first waiting centre at Strygan will be established and accommodated at the Gyder.
As it is known, both structures will be established and managed by the Italian government, which will cover all expenses. Thus the surviving immigrants in the Mediterranean will climb aboard Italian ships and pass the first filter to Strygin where identification will be tried and then verification of the state of health will be conducted. Various roads have been envisioned for those with diseases or those who will have to remain in custody.
Italian media write that the Gajdra facility for immigrants who will expect answers to the asylum or those who do not have the right to enter Italy and who must be repatriated will have an area of about 77 thousand square metres. Ten buildings will be built there that will cut the maximum of 3,000 people simultaneously. Italian government Deputy Secretary Giovannibattista Fazzolari said immigrants can stay in Albania even beyond 28 days, but the maximum allowed by Italian law is 18 months. Within three months of entry into force of the Italian agreement, it will have to pay 16.5m euros to Albania.
The Italian government initially tried to avoid adopting the agreement in Parliament, considering the update of a protocol adopted 5 years ago, but after opposition controversy it agreed that the draft would seek the approval of both chambers. Even the Albanian government has adopted the draft for its part and has sent it to parliament to be approved at the December 21st session. / Tv Klan.
