Apple has been developing cameras below screens and reports suggest they will appear in the company's iPhone 19 models.
The rumors have been circulated for a long time that Apple will place cameras on screen and Face ID on the iPhone, thus completely removing the level of the screen.
A new report mentions that Apple's South Korean supplier has begun to develop a subscreen camera for future iPhone models.
While this is exciting news, the new camera technology is not expected to debut until iPhone 19 series, which is scheduled to emerge in 2017. The same report mentions that in front of the camera, Apple will present Face ID below screen.
The report suggests that LG Innotech is working on this kind of camera that will be placed under the next iPhone screen. The company is said to be working on a special lens called “Prreform Optics” to overcome existing camera gaps below the screen.
Interestingly, Apple's Android competition has been offering support for cameras below screen for years, and it leads Samsung as well as multiple brands from China.
