The ambassador of the United States of America to Kosovo, Jeffrey Havenier, has spoken about the implementation of the electricity billing guide in the northern part of the country.
Havenier said the energy spent should be paid.
The “Agreement was reached in June 2022 in the EU-launched dialogue, which the US fully supports, the guide for the north, where citizens will be billed for energy spent. And I think that's the right thing”, he said.
The American diplomat added that he welcomes the agreement between KEDS and Elektroseveri.
“We expect quick implementation of this guide, which actually has several deadlines that have been exceeded. I welcome the reach of the agreement between KEDS and Elektroseverer. Now they must communicate how this agreement should be applied. There's a lot of technical work to do. The companies need to install recognitions to see what the value of energy spent” is, Havenier stressed.
