Hovenier has said that, above all, partnership and friendship between the US and Kosovo remains strong. He has also counted joint achievements in co-operation with the Government of Kosovo.
The American ambassador has said a few words about Kosovo- Serbia as one of the issues that has taken too much time and energy.
He has said the US expects real progress during 2017, calling for Kosovo and Serbia to fulfil the obligations that come out of the Ohrid Agreement, and has also called on Kosovo to establish the Association of Serb Major Communities.
The American ambassador has said the process of normalising Kosovo-Serbia is concluded with mutual recognition and has said implementation of the Ohrid and Impnation Agreement is a major step towards that goal.
Havenier congratulated happiness, health, and prosperity in 2024.
