Government panic following visa liberalisation: Founding Mechanism for Monitoring Movements

The government has adopted a decision to establish the Early Warning Mechanism for Monitoring Migration Trends.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti said this mechanism would monitor migration movements after visa liberalisation

This inter-institution mechanism aims to monitor migration movement trends after visa liberalisation by the European Union, gather and analyse data concerning the movements of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo in the Schengen area states, as well as recommend the undertaking of measures for relevant institutions with the aim of successful management of the process”, Kurti said.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bardhil Dobra said that “this mechanism is founded with an inter-institutional composition”.
