Totaj has said the ruling party has forgotten that it has received votes for victory even in these municipalities, for which it has received great criticism for unilateral division of the municipal budget.
“This comments as a totally non-professive and incorrect approach because 12 percent of the number of residents and 14 percent of Kosovo's territory release 60 percent of capital investments in the coming year. While Kosovo's largest municipalities, such as Pristina, Prizren, Peja, Ferizaj, bleeding, Mitrovica. They're almost completely bypassed. The government has not done good work and I think that besides lack of professionalism it is a demonstration of meaningless arrogance and for me unprecedented so far. This ruling party has forgotten that it has received votes for victory in national elections even in these municipalities”, Totaj has said of Isader.
22 municipalities were expressed dissatisfied with the budgetary division for 2024.
In the GAP's analysis of revenues and budget expenditures, it is said that even this year over half of the 21.8m euros have been oriented into the four VV-led municipalities (Gylan, Kamenica, Podujevo and Development).
The new capital investments are an indicator of the current government in the distribution of investments, as well as indicate their orientation, unlike continued capital projects that represent budgeting by past governments. Historically, a tendency by current government governing parties has been noted to favour municipalities that are led by the same party. This year, the value of new central-level capital investments destined for specific projects in the municipality is 21.8m euros.” reported in the report.
