German MP: We are waiting if Vuciq will honour the agreements

In each presentation when Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq speaks, he says reserved for implementation of Brussels' agreements, on normalising relations with Kosovo.

With this hesitation, German deputy Thomas Hawker is being surprised.

However, he says it should be expected after the elections if Vuciq is serious that he will not honour agreements stemming from the dialogue.

Hacker, considers that only through an honest dialogue can there be security in the Western Balkan region.

The security situation really continues to be sensitive in the Western Balkan region. What happened in Banjska was very dangerous when Kosovo police were attacked, there were also dead among them. These events should be averted in the future, and the international community must do more for the security of the region. Just days ago during the election campaign, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq said he would not respect the agreement with Kosovo, I don't know if he said this for political purposes or indeed that is his position. However, we have to wait a little longer and see what decisions he will make”, the German deputy has said.

German politician, says Germany's history can serve as a good example for Kosovo as well as for Serbia.

In addition, deputy from Freedom Democracy Party considers the time has come to remove Kosovo's punitive measures.

If Kosovo and Serbia one day intend to become part of the European family, then they should know that this is accomplished only through communication and normalisation of relations. Germany's case is a good example, it was a divided country into two states and it took a long time until we started to have normal communication, but we finally got together again. Both states should be equal and work as hard as they can to join the European Union. I hope that soon punishment measures for Kosovo will also be removed because they really don't make any sense, and start with implementing the Franco-German plan”, it has been expressed for Tv1.

The European Union has reiterated once again that the Ohrid Agreement and annex are legally binding for Kosovo and Serbia.

Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucciq, has refused to sign the agreement in Ohrid, and has declared that Serbia has red lines for some of the agreement provisions.
