Ferizaj lights candles in honor of Liridona Ademiaj

Ferizaj has lit candles in honour of Liridona Ademiaj, who was killed Wednesday evening.

That's how the Ferizaj Commission has made it known through a post on the social Facebook network.

Their announcement says that this event symbolizes the strong sign of association and solidarity for Liridona.

In Ferizaj, candles are lit in honor of Liridona Ademiaj. The assembly group of the Communist Assemblyeers tonight in the city square “Adem Jashari” have made candle lighting in honour of Liridona Ademiaj's life. Tonight, together with a group of women and members of civil society, we are sharing with you a symbolic action”.

This event symbolizes our strong sign of association and solidarity for Liridona, a woman who lost her life in brutal murder from her husband. We cannot remain silent against violence and murder against our wives, mothers and sisters. This tragic event compels us to raise our voices and to reach out to society. Through candles, we want to express our anger at this barbarous act”, Mimoza Soeva-Pajazii, head of the women's group”, said the municipality's announcement.
